Next time ask him about his DD-214 without explaining what that is and what was his MOS or AFSC. Be leary if he stumbles.

I don't get why so many people are jumping on the Stolen Valor Wagon? While that is disgusting..what's to say he didn't serve? I've seen no proof to either case. I got accosted at a bus stop in Vancouver, Wa by a Special Forces Vet on my way to a military funeral and told that I needed to get out of the uniform in a threatening manner. We almost went to blows until I brought out my Veterans I.D. & a miniature of my DD214, and he almost stumbled all over himself apologizing and insisted I take $20..saying "ThankYou for your service." I took the bill just for G.P. (General Purposes).

My father served from 65-75. Went to Vietnam completed 1 1/2 tours. Tripped a wire in his first tour, 1” spikes to his leg & took a round half way through his 2nd tour. Participated in the evac of Saigon in 1975. Passed away July 12, 2006.

wow 56 metals that most people have spent 40 50 years of their life in the service and could never get more than two of them the insanity of it you would have got away with it more by putting the metals off and putting the average toll tickers on your chest then try to pull a stunt like that saying you received five top of the line the best you can get in the military in valor on your chest

Hi sir, these medals signify that I am a total douche and need mental help. My bone spurs kept me from actually serving and I was 12 during the Iraq war.

We do not wear medals in public on our dress blues unless we’re attending a formal event. We also never wear ribbons AND medals at the same time.

people who commit stolen valor should be put in the same prison for the people who are members of the military and their crime should be made public in the prison system for the military personnel
