We told our kids if you are ever busted for something stupid don't bother calling us for bail. Drinking and driving is top on our list of stupid crap! Our kids and their friends all know to call us for a ride anytime. No questions asked and no anger directed towards them. It's not a problem to us to get them home safe as well as knowing the general public is safe as well. Our children now range in age from 40-32, and have a 17 year old grand child who has been told the same thing. Our father's were both hard-core alcoholics and my father alone had 16 DUI's. I also have a brother with 2 DUI's, granted he doesn't drink much now, but he has also called for rides. Yes, we have taxi services, but we are free and we don't rip people off.
