I don't know about in your state but if we buy a used car we can drive it to and from with no plate on it as long as it goes from the sellers house to the buyer's house no plates required
when you sell a car you always take the plates and the sticker you just give them the title at least that's what I do
well I would just make very clear that if that car takes a shit in the next week it is not the pre owners fault.
