They mourn and actually feel their presence. Mine used to sit or lay at the other dogs favorite place to sit or lay. My cats did too. They are always watching over us. of course their buddies know.
1 year later and Lucian has lost his brother maximus out of 4 born Lucian now only has tiggus left,he's so devastated.
Julian passed away and Lucian cried and refused to stop looking and grieves even now.

Our pets have all come to see our pets that have passed away at home over the years. The ones we have had to take to the veterinarian have been upset when we came home without them. These were many years apart but pets do feel it and they mourn, too. 🙏🏼🫶🏻😢💔🌈❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️

He did know. Several yrs after my husband died I became engaged and he got a cat. Well he died suddenly from massive stroke. I have his cat and on his birthday and on his death day for the last 3 yrs this cat cries all day and night it's heartbreaking

This happened to us. We had to have our German Shepherd Ava sent across the Rainbow Bridge. And Jersey our Husky mix who wouldn’t even bark when someone knocked on the door. When Ava passed Jersey let out one very mournful howl. And now sleeps under the shelf that holds Ava’s ashes.🙏🏼💕

I grew up on a farm and one day our mobile vet had to put one down. when the old cow dropped the herd surrounded her wouldn't let anyone approach so my dad sat w them in silence til he convinced them to let him bury her. true story. animals get it and they understand and hate death. 💕

these 4 boys were tall,robust, big and healthy and 💥 just dead. I swear after the devastating hit I took in 2019 till now I don't have much heart pieces left to lose. So very sorry for your loss and the pain of yourself and your other pup.
