There are no alligators where I'm from.I moved to Texas and decided to take a dip in a little creek,tried to see how deep I could dive but couldn't reach the bottom.Got out of the creek and went back to fishing.Imagine my thoughts as my son hooked a Gator about 3 ft long in the same place I was swimming.Someone should have told me !😲

I was wading in shallow water once. Felt something "bump" me. Thought it was a log or piece of wood. Reached back and discovered it was rough, and didn't feel like wood. Saw eyes and realized it was an alligator. I don't remember much after that. Just realized I was back on land... and didn't know how I got there.

Pe8 will often get and keep wildlife including alligators while they are small and easy to handle. When they grow and cause problems they will often throw them down the sewer or drop them in a lake or creek where they aren't native to that place so a person not know that they are in that body of water. This guy was lucky.
It was a nice dive, but I bet she will think twice before she tries that again.
