I heard fire fighters hate them I always heard the hose needed to have a straight line coming out of hydrant I remember seeing cars yrs ago with windows busted and hose run straight thru...LOL
Maybe they should just use normal fire hydrants. That's why they have three hose connections.
Damnnnnnn I was hoping they just turned it on to see if car would roll over!
Sorry, but there is a problem with this video. Per current federal law the curbside must be marked red and the hydrant must be no closer than 2.5 feet from curbside. Without the correct marking the fire department/city would be liable for any damage to the private property. For older city’s who hydrates are closer the red curb marking is mandatory if not marked correctly the hydrant must be noted as secondary use only. That is why you see fire departments or city maintenance departments flushing their hydrants annually. During this maintenance they not only clean, check water flows, and paint required markings.
Are you sure there’s water in that hydrant? Gavin may have turned them off.
Car should be towed
I had to park 6-8 ft. BEYOND the hydrant earlier this (Sun.) evening in the city, and worried about getting a ticket (I didn't). ■ I'm sure I wasn't parked "legally," but took a chance on Sun. enforcement. (I'm hoping there's no automated/robotic enforcement in that location ... )
Make sure you Scratch it good 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Where I’m from , the hose would have went right through the windows of the car .👍🏻
Drag it out way
Have it towed.
we usually take the windows and run a line threw the car👍
my dad was a captain of the fire department in Kansas City Missouri. they would have just busted those windows open!
I prefer they break the windows and run the hose through the car.
As a retired FF , I can promise you that car would not have remained there on a fill up. LA, you’re too soft!
Kind of pointless when there is no water in the hydrants to put out the damn fires. Now imagine Newsome running the country. What a joke
luckily, the truck was just filling up, and not a fire right there on the block
Yellow hydrant ....whatever happened to R E D . BET IF THE LAWS OF FINES AND AUTOMATIC TOWING & VEHICLE STORAGE COSTS WERE IN FULL FORCE, much of these acts would become fewer .
Just break the windows and charge them for blocking a hydrant not to mention the water damage in the interior and the replacement parts and the impound fee should skyrocket the cost of dumb decision
remove that idiot from the road.. or retrofit everything... this is why blocks burned
if it was an actual fire... 5in line through the windows screw your parking
im sure there are plenty of towing companies that could use some work.
It would be EZer to use the fire truck to push the car out of the way
Question why don’t they face them sideways to begin with
Tow it!!!!
in Texas, they just shove the car out of the way. no waiting for tow truck. if the car is damaged, it's the car owners loss
easy solution, bust out the windows and run the hose through the parking the truck right there and for better results let a few gallons of water seep out of the hose, totally ruin their day just because they can
I still think they should have smashed their windows and then ran the hose around the car on top of a hefty fine, Scumbags
I would have ticked w/ $1500 fine( this delay could have cost some one their life) and towed it after we move it …
I always thought fire hydrants Were universal RED with 3 outlets AND illegal to BLOCK one ?
they should tie a chain to it and pull the car out of the way
I like when they go out of the way to run it threw the car
that takes too much time busting windows is faster
drage it out of the way
stop crying then
Have it towed
Brilliant
Oh look now they can't say we can't park there
Use the firetruck to push the car away from the hydrant. Any damages to either vehicle will be on the owner.
Why? Just tow the damn car!!!!
I would have taught the privileged idiot that thinks he/she can park where they want with no consequences. both windows would be busted out. Some life lessons are learned the hard way...
my question is why didn't they either break the windows and go through the windows to fill up the truck or have the car towed sided and then fill up the truck where they in a hurry
should've put it thru the window!
Have the car towed!!
why not tow it and ticket it?
I like it better when they run the hose through the broken windows
Just push the car outta the way with the fire truck ! Problem solved !! Easy as it gets
Cut the door off. Yall plenty cool tools
Ok so how long does that take to put the device on the hydrant Vs knocking the window out and hooking up to pumper ???
The offending car ought to have been forklifted onto a flatbed and impounded at great expense to the owner.
