Or just put it in the refrigerator until it begins to cool. All of the fat will float to the surface and solidify, where it can be scraped off easily.

Put ice in a metal ladle and skim top of the pot with it, oil will stick to bottom of ladle. Old restaurant trick! 👍🏼

Not wanting to water down, your food is why you don't put the ice itself directly into the food, but instead get a metal bowl or something metal that you can put the ice into. Even a metal ladle will work for smaller dishes and then you dip the metal with the ice in it into the food. The cold metal, we'll do the same thing that the ice itself will do as far as solidifying the top layers of oil.So you can remove it without watering down your poop.Please make sure the outside of these containers holding the ice is clean before doing this
