The tsunami blocker looks like a shallow wall, only ten feet tall. If the Tsunami rises to 50 or 100 feet, it will go over the tsunami blocker and flood the city. Holy Giant Tsunami Nightmare, Batman!

Good for the Japanese. Always innovative. Underappreciated are the Japanese people, in my opinion.

I'm not an engineer but I've lived on the coast during many hurricanes. I believe the storm surge of a major hurricane might be comparable to an larger tsunami and if that were the case, then it would probably tear that door off. It might work for the smaller ones but I'm not sure how much damage a smaller one might even cause. I've seen many times where the storm surge would take sections of a bridge out and that was still giving the water an opportunity to partially go above and below the bridge to lessen the impact whereas this door does not. It would take the full brunt of the surge.

Boy, I am so proud to be an American so blessed to have such a great president and a great country but if I ever had to live in another country, I believe it would be Japan or Sweden if I consider the girls in Sweden

this looks like an animated cartoon or AI. Very unrealistic. If it IS the, it would be ineffective. it barely sits above the water line BEFORE the tsunami.

If that tsunami project were in the Philippines, congressmen and contractors would steal that billion funds. A similar scenario in the Philippines are flood control projects costing billions of hardest earned taxpayers money but are stolen instead by public officials.
