We was taught that blood was blue before hitting oxygen that’s a fact
they definitely taught us that also missouri put your state in
Ever seen the image of the vascular system? It clearly shows unoxygenated (blue)blood going into the heart and oxygenated (red)blood coming out.
I'm a licensed Phlebotomist, yes it is until it hits the air.
yeah, right! lol yeah we was taught the same! Blue until it hits oxygen!
They taught us this in Pa. I even told this to my boys when they were little! Now I'm looking at my daughter like what!
I have a question it doesn't hit air when it is drawn or donated it is in a controlled environment so why is it red
yeah was taught that but think of it like this!? if your getting blood taken from you or blood is being transfused from you to someone. think of the rubber stopper think of the bag it's going into and most important think of the inside of your vein. there's no air/oxygen in any of them. the blood is still red... I've thought of this before but your video kinda brought the topic back around.
All blood is oxygenated….these comments prove most everyone has no basic understanding of how anything works. I never knew intelligence was so rare until the age of social media. We as a species are doomed.
I'm 36, and they told us that. I went to school in 3 different states, and it was the same ...
I was taught the same thing in South Carolina
I was born in 1980. I was taught blood is blue
I also learned this in gradeschool, Colorado
same teacher talked about the moon landing
Definitely told that as a child for sure
I'm 47 and was taught the same thing
35 here and I was also taught that
They did!! That's exactly right!
we' were taught that in school
blood is blue until it hit air
yep told me that too
I learn that too
Same in Utah
Bama yes
Florida too
Yes in the 80s they taught us in school that blood inside your body was blue but once you were cut or blood came out of the body it turned red once it hits oxygen. I remember going home and telling my mom and my mom saying why Shit NO that's not true
I thought the same but then educated myself blood is always red its the veins & arteries that are blue.. us 90s & early 2000s kids were just brainwashed
yeah I remember when they tried to teach this to us. I also remember them not having an answer when I said it would be that color regardless bc blood transfers oxygen throughout the body!
Obviously didn’t make it to ninth grade biology where does the oxygen go once it is inside the body 😅
I thought it was green until it hits oxygen growing up
so how could it be true since blood is saturated with oxygen that is how your brain receives oxygen...
bro I was told this too as a kid in school
they Def taught us this in school yes
they told me that too
I was taught thatvtoo
remember the same
4th grade i think
They didn’t teach us that. Kids just said it and you believed it.
it aint geeen?
you right that is what b that they taught us
blood has never been blue and never will be
they deff did tell us that in school
I was taught the same.
No, when you were a child in elementary school. And they showed you an illustration of the blood flow, they colored the blue as this oxygenated and the red part as oxygenated, just for illustration purposes. So when the child asks so the blue is the oxygen, the teacher would say yes, but the kit was literally talking about the color but the teacher thought illustration
I'm 46 and yes def was taught blue till oxygen . that's why our veins we can see are BLUE!!!!!! NOT TO MENTION I homeschool for past 9 yrs because everything I was taught and I was an A honor roll student, vala Victorian awards etc but everything I was taught is not what's taught today! It was really frustrating to learn everything I know us now INCORRECT making me look)feel STUPUD!! So. I homeschool and teach at will. here in Ohio
Blue? No… I was taught it wasn’t red but water. Which is clear.
thisnis probably like many things that chamge over time. im 46 and have personally witnessed eating eggs go from good for you to bad for you then back to good for you. As well as dont drink to much water to drink all the water.....lol
they definitely told us that
they did teach us that
I was taught the same thing, think of this, a bruise odds caused by breaking a vein open. why is it blue when it becomes visible?
1000% was true. This is what I learned!
I was definitely taught that the blood appears blue while still in your veins but I was never made to believe that once it left my body it was blue
apparently they've never seen old person's legs because the veins close to the skin are blue because the oxygen is depleted
exactly thats what i was taught
AZ ☑️
all you have to do is look at your arm when you're having blood drawn the needle goes into your vein then the blood flows into the vial there's no Oxygen it's red
Nobody ever taught us blood is blue dumbasses 🤦🏻♂️
that's not Mandela effect they just made it up.
Absolutely remember being told that.
Yes! I learned that too. 50 years ago
I have a photographic memory and I distinctly remember my science teacher Mrs wright telling us that deoxygenated blood is blue and oxygenated blood is red.
Hahaha they didn't teach us in school it was in movies and a cartoons. I believe in the Mandela effect but this isn't one.
that's misinformation. silly to beleive that. your body runs off of oxygen. you stop breathing you stop living and guess what your lungs have the both of at all times....
I was taught in elementary school and middle school that our blood was blue untill oxygen hits it and then it turns red. how dare they say that this wasn't taught to us. I am 35 born in 1991. this is crazy
oooo I remember that that's nuts
I am 64 and I was told the same thing we have been lie to all of our life
blood is blue in your veins until it reaches the heart which the. it is oxygenated which turns it red. that is true
