Some are asking? why now? Maybe it was money, no insurance, or insurance wouldn't pay for it. Could have been health reasons. In some Africans culture you are praised for being bow legged. Sometimes it's believed that you will out grow it and they will straighten on their own.

Blouts disease...affects AAs. Forty years past, briefly knew a father whose daughter's leg bones were bolted to steel rods and was wheelchair bound as effort to correct and dad found no further help...no Shriners, Lions Club...no childrens charity health orgs assisted after their extensive app processes. No GoFundMe then...only fish dinner sales and church special offerings in the days before ACA. Dad worked 3 jobs to pay $25K deposit that the hospital and insurance mandated before surgery. I hope his and her story turned out as well as this one.💕💕🌸🌸💕💕

🙏🏽🙏🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 first off pray you heal properly. But what I hate about this surgery is you go from bow legs to knock kneed and ai don’t like it! My surgery had this surgery when he was about 13 and I was not happy afterwards. I asked the doctor why would you do this and he explained that it would lessen the possibility of the leg going back bow. Ooookay well why didn’t you mention that during the initial consult!?! I don’t think you should fine out these things after the fact! I told him no one wants to have their damn knees knocking! To say the least I was not happy!

or maybe her condition could have happened due to an accident that we know nothing about? To call her parents ignorant or call it child abuse is wrong. Then maybe she could have been one of those kids from. another country that didn't have the kind of help she needed.
