My Grandmother was a tough, whisky drinking lady who managed to keep her 7 kids alive and well thru the Depression. She had a flock of chickens and when she was gonna cook up some fried chicken, she went outside with a cleaver and a cage. She cut their heads off and then shoved them in the cage because if she didn't, the headless chicken would run around the yard and freak the neighbors out. True story.

have a family member catch a chicken you played with because he said it was her time and break her neck and kill her. Then take it into the house and pluck it cut its head off and take out all its inside stuff. Then clean it cut it up fry it then eat it. I went and threw up and haven't been able to look at chicken on a bone the same ever again.

My grandmother had chickens and had a woman that helped her as she got in her late 70s/early 80s. Only thing I remember about that woman was she hacked a chickens head off to clean and cook for supper. It was hideous! But it was supper. I didn't spend the night...can't imagine eating that chicken that night. (doesn't bother my eating a big "ole" piece of fried chicken right now!! 😋
It's OK for you, but I personally don't enjoy watching animals die or cut up. No criticisms of any of you that dont take issue with it. I didn't used to have a problem with even more graphics stuff but years later, I can't stomach it.

Once on TV, I saw a yacht Chef dive in for a sea cucumber, ( which he was going to use as part of a tablescape), brought it back and they had it in a pail of water and every time anybody touched it is secreted this thick mucus from its back side, it kinda looked like (please overlook this word....sperm.) That's all I needed to see, I was done!

In some cultures, sea cucumber is said to increase male virility and as a result, sea cucumbers are being overfished in many parts of the world. I have eaten sea cucumber prepared by Chinese chefs. I could not get past the texture. I assume this is an acquired taste. Jellyfish had a better texture and taste.
