I was married for years. Husband came home from work, took a shower, popped a beer and watched TV until his bedtime. I came home from work and checked the kids homework and helped them as I began to start dinner. I made sure everyone was fed then I started the bath for the kids as I cleaned the kitchen. After the kitchen was clean, I'd go to the bathroom and actually make sure they cleaned themselves dried and helped them put on pajamas. I send the kids to say goodnight to their dad and come back for a story. Dad said good night without ever taking his eyes from the TV. Then I read the kids a story and tucked them into bed. Only then do I manage to take a shower and go to bed. It's now 2200 and I finally get to sit and rest. Husband has been sitting doing nothing for 5 hours. When the kids were older I divorced him and haven't picked some lazy ass man's dirty underwear off the floor in years. I've raised 3 boys alone and one man. I'll NEVER marry again.

The problem, in my opinion, is simple confusion. People don't seem to understand the difference between a male and a man, or a female and a lady. These things are NOT the same. What he said is absolutely true. If you're a "dude", don't look for a lady, you won't know how to treat her right. And if you really want to be treated like a Lady instead of a body count, you have to act like one. 25 years ago i found one, and she's still my beautiful wife to this day.
I just recently got out of a relationship finally with a girl that was half my age and for 8 years her and her kid showed me no respect and the only thing they wanted me to do was provide that's all I was needed for so I got rid of her and her son another criminal

you sir are right on point. we have been married over 30 years. I clean the house thoroughly, I cook his dinner I clean up the kitchen I make his lunch for the next day for work. when he goes to bed I'm the last person he sees because I make sure he's under the covers well and the lights are out and that he's comfortable to go to sleep so that he can get up and do it again tomorrow. it's not that hard to have a great relationship. it's what we signed on for and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Roles have changed. Most cannot afford to keep one person at home. That creates a lot of tension because most men still feel like housework belongs to the woman still even though she is working outside of the home full time. Not to mention a majority of the time the duties with children fall on the woman.
