My friends had a dog who really loved big sticks, so when they were clearing out some saplings that had died off at the edge of their property to make room for a garden bed, they employed the dog to help dig up and remove them because he just thought they were sticks and he was all about it
Heyy!! Pets mooch off of us about 95% of the time!! So if you get an opportunity for free labor or to get some sort of payback, by all means don't feel guilty. He doesn't even know that he just did your chores for you!!

my dog hated shovels he spread pea gravel in my driveway when the dump truck dumped the pile at the top of it as long as I kept the shovels in the right place. I loved that Dog. Good ol Irv.
