That's not how it worked for me. My son when he was seven called the police. Somebody stole his Hot wheel and he wanted to report it. The officer called child services and had my kid picked up because he said I was neglecting my kid. I was in the house in the same room cooking dinner when he made this phone call. it took me 3 days to get him back when the police officer just dropped the charges. This is how police teach you a lesson. But of course I'm Native American on a reservation and that was a white sheriff's officer.
Here’s a sign of good parenting. Not screaming at the kid, but a calm and collected response.

The cop handled like he should, calm and collected and explained to the kids why they shpuld call 911 and why they shouldn't.

that's so sweet. my 4 year old loves to sit on the porch and watch the cops go by. they come around the same time every evening and some of them will stop and talk for a minute and some will run the lights for her. all of them are nice to her, if they have time. we are trying to teach her not to be afraid of them.

He shouldn't have a phone. Go next door next time for an emergency. Mom better watch her back, leaving the house with him in there alone, young as he looked. Next, time maybe worst, what if he trys to cook. Don't leave under age children in the house alone!! Always, know where they are at all times and what they are doing.
