Cats are really smart! Both my cats started using the doggie door and to this day I don’t know where they go to do their business! I never taught them,they did it all by themselves! I don’t have a litter box or have to clean one of buy litter!!

That's a rescue cat. His left ear is clipped at the tip, that's how you can tell. They may have had to remove part of his tail due to injury. If someone adopted him from a rescue group or shelter he should not be allowed outside, he may have been a tnr, trap, neuter, release.
