Sugar is not the only cause of cavities. Acid plays a big role as well. Acidic foods and drinks are really bad for damaging the enamel. Enamel damage caused by acids is called erosion and is something we as dentists come across a lot. Try and limit all kinds of aerated drinks and if you really feel like having one, I would recommend using a straw (paper or reusable preferably, to protect the environment too 🙂). 🔖Disclaimer: The content discussed on my account is solely for educational and ent
