Definitely a lucky catch, muskie are smart and usually very difficult to get on a lure.
I have
after fishing for perch for about 3 hours my arms were tired (I was 7). we had filled 2 5 gallon buckets with fish. after my last one I just tossed the empty hook in the water, intent on taking a nap. about 10 minutes into a nap my line started zinging and the reel started singing and I caught a 4 pound lake trout....on a bare hook...
Not a big fish. But that鈥檚 a big nose.
