When I had rentals, I did know that there was casing above the doors. 🤔 And also around the windows. I guess I never really pointed them out to the tenants. Silly me.🤣🤣
Kids today will never understand this… When renting old places always check above the door frame to see if the previous owner left a spare key to the door(s), old houses also used to do this… There’s other areas where keys are still hidden beside the door frame too (rain gutter, first stoop, fake rock, fake water sprinkler, broken pot with a bit of dirt or pebbles, welcome mat, handrail, chair, figurine, etc)
So good to know! I’m going to try and remember this if I ever get a landlord !!
