Sept. 3, 2023, when Roda Osman says she grabbed an Uber after a night out bar hopping. She claimed when she refused the driver’s advances, he threw a brick at her head and tried to kidnap her. She posted crying videos on Instagram from a hospital and shared footage of a swollen lump on the side of her face from the “brick attack” that went viral. Houston police reviewed surveillance footage that proved Osman was the aggressor during the attack, according to authorities, and hit the man with an unknown object first. The man did retaliate, hitting her with a plastic water bottle. Detectives even said Osman’s story changed multiple times. video evidence showed that she was not hit with a brick, but was drunk and after assaulting the driver she fell and hit the car door. she has been ordered to repay all funds from the GoFundMe, a few days in jail, 10 years probation, and 10 years no social media.
