my husband and I have one child that's all I wanted so I wouldn't have to live on the system my husband passed away when she was not quite two even though he left me with the insurance I took that and made sure my child had a good clean house clean clothes and a good education I didn't use the system I scrub floors I got out and made myself do all kinds of work from cleaning and mess up with people and now my child has graduated from college and she is on her own I'm just letting you know you didn't need the system you just choose the system it was a struggle but it was well worth it when I was telling people don't you take birth control pills they said they don't have no time for that it makes them fat I heard it can mess up a baby so can poverty

What about the military and air traffic control people, it’s not only snap benefits that are being effected.

Not everyone was born with privilege good health and opportunity! What about seniors that worked there entire life and now need help from snap because there on a fixed income. Huge tax cuts for billionaires while the old ,most vulnerable people that are the poor working class ,you go without food because you are unfortunately not rich and the government doe's not care about you!

That’s the problem people rely too much on govt assistance. Stop letting them control you

The only thing you did not say who shut it down to protect the people, you can't say it's nobody's fault and turn around said don't let the government dictate how life should be SHUT IT DOWN well it is shut. Who did it ? is it right ? if so do you believe the people will be better because of it ?

I agree with you, Sir. There are people that's been in this thing for generations and generations. They sit home doing nothing all they are interested in: the 31st and the first of the month to get that government check, they should be pushed to go to work. there are things they could do in their own community for that check, I always said that. Having said all of that, there are others who's getting the check legally, their livelyhood banking on that check. The shut down of the government going to be detrimental to their lives, that's the real concern

Do you know how many people work full time and still not able pay all bills and buy food when they pay you barely min wage,. Also the elderly and disabled I agree the ones not wanting to work and keep having kids that needs to stop... should only get stamps and cash for no more than 2 kids instead of giving them more assistance along with benefits for 2 kids send condoms
