at one time section 8 and welfare was a good thing , it was supposed to be a short term fix until you can get on your feet. but people got lazy on both ends the giver didn't regulate and enforce the law, and the receiver got used to easy money while doing nothing for themself. I was raised in housing authority at five years old, at 24 yrs old I got my own spot for me and my daughter while working and not on welfare. After years of working two jobs I finally bought myself a house, and I do keep my front and back property clean as well as inside. you would never know if I didn't tell you, I come from the projects as we used to call it. no shame in my game 🥰🥰🥰, it's not where you come from , it's about what you want out of life. some got ambition and some don't. 🤷

I myself do not get section 8, but so many people really need it. if it was not for section 8, the homeless population would be greater. Something needs to be done about the housing market in America. The price of rent in some of these states is extremely high. unfortunately, salaries are not keeping up with these increases.

I was on sec 8 before. I worked and had 6 kids. my rent was $1150. I paid 1100 and sec 8 paid 50. your rent is based on your income. if your not disabled then tou have to have a job. everyone's job may not pay enough for them to afford the basics that they need. same rules for ebt. not everyone that receives assistance is a bum or working the system. its also ok to have company at your house. this skit portrays what the system was like back in the 60's where the system was set up to break families up. men were not allowed to be in the house if the woman was getting assistance. yes I had 6 kids on my own because I had an abusive husband and I left him .

Section 8 is for all races. The majority of people on section 8 is Caucasians. Yes their are a small % of African American, Latino's and other races that make up the demographics. The same with public housing, majority of people living in public housing are Caucasians. The other races makes up a small percentage. You have more Caucasians who gets food stamps $ 700-900.

That was stupid of him to run like that he could have been a family member who slept over , just because a section 8 inspector came to do an inspection of a home and seen a man in the home don’t mean that he live there . Why would she lie and say that she don’t know who he is when she do , do section 8 inspectors check your closets to see if you have a man clothes in your home , if so that is just to much invasion of privacy. I know they checks for other stuff like if things broken and stuff like that . She could have kept that lie that she don’t know who he is when he jumped from her home to the ground . I live in a retirement community and I make too much money for a one-bedroom so I'm stuck paying for a two-bedroom.
Why did he do that. I didn't give a damn about a man/woman in the place. If your place is sanitary, safe, rooms for those on the lease. Section 8 rules does NOT prohibit visitors. However, don't EVER move them in permanently. Marry , then apply to be put on the lease. The owner must agree. Background / credit checks are done by the owner. Owners must enforce their lease. Housing Inspectors are not law enforcement or DSS related. We WILL report a nasty azz place. No electricity, no running hot and cold water. A sure way to get evicted. My experience is when a MAN is there ( visiting) the place is clean and utilities are ON.

I'm white, tried to apply for help in '79 when I broke my right femur (top bone in legs). Wasn't allowed to work for 6 months. They gave me $100 for one month. 2nd month they point blank told me I was the wrong color. Now, after working my ass off for 50 years, paying my taxes, I'm allowed $28 a month on Snap. I'm on SSI, no other benefits. So tell me who's getting screwed????🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Umm for those who don't know, Section 8 doesn't always pay your whole rent. I know plenty of people who are on Section 8 and they still have to pay $800 + rent, some of them are even paying $12 +. And for those who say they are always clean, that is definitely not true. There are a lot more who are just nasty with their homes. They make it bad for those who are clean and going the best they can to keep the help that they are receiving. Oh and as for her hair being done.. What she is supposed to walk around looking she doesn't care about herself? Maybe she braids her own hair or has a friend or family member to do it for her. If you are Section 8, it is based on number of people and worker income. You are stealing if someone not on the agreement lives there. You may also have a rental agreement with home owner. Meaning you may have broken both.
