Obadiah 1:10, which states, "For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever." Obadiah 1:15 mentions, "For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head." Obadiah 1:18 describes the fate of the house of Esau as stubble to be devoured by the houses of Jacob and Joseph. Obadiah 1:21 prophesies that saviours will come to judge the mount of Esau.  Book of Malachi Malachi 1:2-3 also addresses God's contrasting relationship with Jacob and Esau, stating, "Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness."  In the Apocrypha The 1611 KJV included the Apocrypha, which contains 2 Esdras 6:9, a verse often associated with Esau's ultimate fate: "For Esau is the end of the world, and Jacob is the beginning of it that followeth."
