Kiara McCulley was involved in a prominent 2022 murder case in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she killed her romantic partner, Grace Jennings, with a sword in the detached garage of her mother's home. Jennings, 21, had spent the night in the garage with McCulley and her boyfriend, Isaac Apodaca, who also had a relationship with Jennings. Text messages revealed that McCulley and Apodaca conspired to kill Jennings while she slept. Apodaca allegedly coerced McCulley into committing the murder, telling her it would result in a "promotion" within a supposed "secret organization". McCulley pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in February 2025 and agreed to testify against Apodaca. She faces a 30-year prison sentence, double the typical sentence, due to the brutality of the killing, which included an attempt to decapitate the victim. Apodaca is still facing trial.

Yes, I watched this on law and crime.And the short blonde girl that said, yes, i'm the daughter was dating the girl that she healed with a sword outside of their home.There's a little bitty yard with a building that they stayed in with a mattress and stuff.And that's where she killed her at.And the guy she was dating walked in on it while she was happening, and tried to tell her to stop.And she said, no I did it, and i'm not going to stop.So she got 20 to life in prison and it was all over her being jealous, because the girl broke up with her and was dating her friend, which was a guy pitiful
