That scene reminds me of the scene in 2001 a space odyssey.

One of the best episodes! Best part is when they pull his car home like a dog sled

In nature, the runts of the litter are usually more intelligent and innovative. Creativity and intelligence are survival traits. I'll admit that I've met what would be described as scrawny runts who were very intelligent and friendly; which is another survivability trait: it's helpful for the smart little fellas to align with the (I wouldn't say "dim") the physically dominant specimens. Together, they're a pretty good team. Now, I'm not as big as these guys, but I know where on the scale I fall on. Six foot (So, not extra tall or anything) 223lbs (Not little, but not horribly big) and I haven't lifted regularly since college. Decent IQ, and I at least have some common sense. I'm pretty much an average human male, I suppose.

It's a pretty accurate depiction to me.
