You call the cops immediately! They would have been there in minutes to catch the guy. You don't have a running dialog with each other, discussioning it. The cops are trained, they have mace, stun guns, real guns, batons,and the law on their side. How stoooopid has our society become? Me? I have crowd control, Mace, stun gun, and cuffs. I have less than lethal plastic darts for my 12 gauge. If he rushed me, he would have gotten a very serious Oweeeee! He had a bat. That's a deadly weapon. Were they going to film him beating her to death? Then call?

All of you complaining about how the couple handled the situation should not be so quick to blame. They may have witnessed something similar or helped her before, just for her to return. If the guy would have confronted him , he may have turned his anger towards him. Ringing the doorbell was a good distraction and gave her time to get away from him. I heard the guy speaking to the 911 operator explaining the situation while the guy was there, before he left. I think that the couple did well to even get involved and obviously they have been there for her in the past. Because she ran across the street to their house. I can only hope that if this is not a skit or AI that she left for good and is safe now. When a person shows you who they are, believe them and keep yourself safe!
