hey I was a lunch lady I ran my kitchen with love The law did not allow us to give the children seconds on anything, but if a child took the time to walk all the way back in there, I'm sorry. I'm going to give a child a second or something. I always gave him milk or more vegetables or more fruit. some of these children. this is the only meal they get. unfortunately it's very sad. I'm retired now but I pray for my kids all the time that they get of full belly and if they come to the Lord Jesus Christ💕🙏🥰

When I was in Elementary school my family was very poor. The school thought they were being nice and offered me free lunch, but I had to earn it. They put me in the kitchen washing dishes and food trays. I had to operate a dish washer that only an adult should have been working with. The water was boiling hot and it was dangerous. The White woman boss didn't like me and she would inspect my work. There were times when she would make me do my tasks twice. It was very humiliating for me. I stopped doing these tasks and didn't have any lunch. I watched other kids eating lunch. It was humiliating. This young man is hungry. Let him eat. You Don't know what he's going through.

I had a friend, Julie when I was young. She was treated by her stepdad & mom like dirt. She practically lived with us. Her mom didn't want her, said she wanted her man. Julie was 10. Her dad (military man) found out and got custody of her. Her mom only wanted child support. He knocked on my door and thanked us. We kept in contact for years. She married a military man who bought her dream home ( a small farm). wonder how's she's doing.

Kid probably doesn’t have a lot to eat at home. That may be all he gets to eat all day. Our district provides free breakfast and lunch for all kids no matter the family income. You don’t have to be poor to be hungry
