On the evening of April 10, 2022, Melgoza struck and killed 43-year-old Andrea Rosewicz and 55-year-old Paul Prowant as they were crossing North Main Street near the Full Throttle bar and grill.A blood test performed after the collision showed that Melgoza's BACwas .264, more than three times the legal limit. An open bottle of vodka was also found in her vehicle. Melgoza was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI resulting in death and two counts of aggravated reckless driving resulting in bodily harm. In February 2023, Melgoza entered a blind guilty plea to the four felony charges. The court then sentenced her to 14 years in prison. Melgoza's blood-alcohol concentration was .264, An open bottle of vodka was also found in her car. Melgoza was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI resulting in death- two counts of aggravated reckless driving resulting in bodily harm. In February 2023 she was sentenced to 14 years in prison. 💕

As someone that is sober from alcohol and drugs for 3.5yrs I think if you drive impaired you should automatically be put to death yourself or give life with no possibility of parole! It is 2025 there are plenty of ways to get home or to the next bar without getting behind the wheel and putting every other person at risk! I’m not proud of the years I drank and did drugs but it is what it is I did it and I was stupid enough to get behind my wheel and drive. I am grateful every day that I never hurt or killed anyone!
