Be so serious right now. We all know that city blue collar workers and road construction blue collar workers get to stand around for a big chunk of each job. This shit is nothing new… other times they have to bust ass. If each city was to audit work loads of individuals productivity they must implement random checks. At various stages of each job. If they just spent 1-2 weeks breaking their backs daily for 10 hours a day and then the last week of the job is spent mostly standing around cut them some slack. If at the start, middle and end of each job audit results come back that there are mostly a huge chunk of employees standing around throughout the entire job from start to finish plans of action need to be created and followed through with.

Nobody is stopping women from getting these sort of jobs. Most women do not want them and the one's that do aren't as good as men. However the one's that are earn respect and the guys are perfectly fine with them.

Being a woman who was one of the 1st drywallers, I had to work harder than men and usually amazed the ones who wrote me off. I know if you are easily offended you probably won't make it. There's a reason why there's not alot of women in construction most women wouldn't want that type of job.
