She is using an old stale argument that makes no sense what so ever.. Those that carry concealed or for that matter open carry would be the last person any criminal would approach. Why is she afraid of walking around at night if the government is doing such a great job of protecting her. The police are not her personal bodyguards and respond after a crime has been committed. A well staffed police department has maybe one officer for every 500 people in the town or city. Most are more like one officer for every 5000 and the are not on duty all of the time.
