it's genetic but the Dad walked on his nubs and used a wheelchair. his daughters insurance paid for her to have prosthetics but she wasn't adjusting well so her dad went and got some yo give her confidence in wearing hers π₯°
How wonderful . My son was a double amputee from a work accident in Minnesota lost right arm right leg . And itβs very painful to wear them . Takes about a year or so to get any kind of prosthetics after that many surgeries everything then your attached to a machine I think itβs called shrinker and you put it on the area that you lost and you go through that for I donβt know how many months but everything has to heal, but it is extremely painful. My son went through hell and unfortunately, he passed away seven years ago at the age of 36th in Minnesota the day before Fatherβs Day in a car accident, heβd be 43 and I miss him every single day but I must say that he is in a better place and heβs not in that pain anymore because then you get addicted to pain pills. It is the most painful thing he said he ever went through in his life and hehad been in a burn accident before too, and was in the hospital for months, but God bless his family.

he was already an amputee. it was just that he was walking on his nubs and satisfied with that. he got prosthetics to make his daughter more comfortable with hers.
I have never traveled that road, however you must keep pressing forward. Keep living stroger day by day. Our son is constantly in pain 3.5 years now being isolated to a bed because of spinal stenosis with his legs locked at a 90 degree angle. He's 35 and considering double amputation so he can get in a wheelchair.
Realize daily how blessed you are to have your legs that work. I have been through 2 hip replacements and I thank God daily that I can still have usable legs !
Google Vic Vuijcic. he has no arms or legs, he's motivational speaker and Christian. he has NO prosthetics at all. these people have to fight harder than any of us. God bless them !!
She walks very well for a double amputee. I had my right foot amputated in β86 and the a revision to a below knee amputation in β87. My gait is horrible but it is so nice to see how she is doing with a double amputation.
Prosthetics are painful and limits your getting around. As an amputee, Iβm in my bed now, from sores, because I try to do too much , like work, and wear the prosthesis for too long. Blessings to all amputees.
I was supposed to lose my legs after a drunk driver ran over me kissing my career in the military dic saved them putting titanium in them I'm built like wolverine now and everyday of my life struggle I want to rid of them and use leasing the pains of bone shrapnel in the leg
