Many describe the flavor tasting like soap. It also smells very nasty too. I don't see the proposed of catching one. If I did I would released it. I line to target fish I will eat. Now I admit a lot of times I don't catch the fish species I am targeting and get a Carp or another species I am not trying for. Preferably I like pan fish like Sunfish and Bass. I also like certain species of catfish. I also like Trout. My favorite is Brown but I usually catch Rainbow. So far I line pretty much any flat fish I have ate. Flounder, Halibut and Sole are all good eating fish. I also found Eel is good too.
