well breaking into someone's house without a warrant is illegal. Secondly to wake them about an incident that happened earlier in the day is illegal. for the lady officer that refused to give her name and badge number is also illegal. They definitely have a civil lawsuit against her and all others involved.
a few years ago in Everman TX a girl was abducted and police were pretty sure who had her,they knocked on the door the man came out and said he didn't know anything. They flashed their lights around the motel room and heard nothing and left because of they had no warrant. The Fort Worth police went to the same door and kicked it in without a warrant and found the little girl in a clothes basket where he told her to stay or he would kill her. I'm glad those cops put their careers on the line that night or she would be dead.
