Yep it is a civil matter not a criminal matter that is an eviction the hotel has to go to court to get her removed the cops performed an illegal eviction. When you rent a hotel room it is considered your home unless you violate hotel rules.
It's a mom and 2 kids not some meth smoking couple playing loud music. The cops should have come up there with her refund and an alternate hotel to go to. Arrest and CPS is not how you protect and serve.

A smart officer would’ve said OK ma’am you paid and then he should’ve went downstairs and said that hey this is a civil matter. She’s on the do not rent list your clerk made a error live with it. It’s just one day and the officer gets to keep his job and gets to not being sued.

A hotel IS a business. THEY can kick you out just like a store, restaurant, etc. Once you are asked to leave AND refuse it IS considered trespassing. If you are at ANY business and act inappropriately and/or disrespectful they have every right to tell you to kick rocks.

It sounds like the hotel is being pressured by the police and they don't really want to evict her because they have rented her a room until Monday. If this is a civil matter then the cop has no business being involved. This cop gives other cops a bad name with his attitude and his fake authority.

This woman knew when she walked into that hotel that she was on the DNR list. So, the hotel doesn't have to refund her anything because she lied. These officers are just doing their job.
