let me tell you how to do it correctly...those plastic straps have a seam where it was heated to hold. simply pull the small tab on both sides .it comes apart no knife needed
Look at strap far right' to see where the strap was heat welded, (an inch of excess' hanging) just pull the excess' from underside, and always opens as easy as pulling string on dogfood bag ! Of Note' if Strap is Metal, use 2 Crescent Wrenches that are nearly completely closed' put to touching and push/pull to cut like knife thru butter !
