first of all, the mother is on medication. she should not be breastfeeding. everything she intakes goes to the baby
did i hear the suggestion that the birth mother is on medication but prefers to use medicated breast milk on her baby? grandmother is wrong for doing it without permission but not wrong for expressing concern.

I've baby sat kids since 11 years old. And I'll tell you now, I Fed what the parents told me to feed. I followed the parents rules on no can't soda etc. I followed the parents safety and security rules and house rules and I damn sure would NEVER give someone else baby formula over the mother's breast milk! That's not your kid you are hired to watch them and with that comes the parents rules Of house and child! In laws go too far!
bonnie Sykes you are so right I use to baby sit my greatgrands she would come home on lunch and breast fed she would do the pump before going back to work but the baby had milk in the freezer in case she couldnt come home sometime her mother in law was wrong the baby could get a upset stomach let her do he thing with her baby it's not yours and by the way she sometime couldnt come home on lunch break so the best milk in the freezer was there mama let her do her thing it different now
Sometimes a mom's breast milk is just not satisfying the baby. Mom is stressing, older now, mother in law working here nerves and let's not forget the other kids. Wish I had said that to so many people 💞👍🏽💃🏽👍🏽

I caused a nurse to be put on administrative leave because she gave my newborn daughter a pacifier while I was sleeping while we were still in the hospital. You DO NOT go against the mother's wishes!!!! If its a breast only baby you do not introduce a bottle! For the ignorant saying "but she is on meds she can't breastfeed " you dont know what meds she is on. Not every medication requires pump and dump and even than clean breast milk can be purchased or breast like alternatives are available. Bottom line not for grandma nosy to decide.

When you have a purely breastfeed baby, as soon as you even give a little formula, they will never smell the same again. I cried for weeks after my exgf gave my daughter formula.
