No reputable car dealer or auto detailer would ever recommend this! Vaseline is petroleum based and will absolutely destroy your dash and any other plastic products you put it on, especially when it comes in contact with sunlight/heat or is left on for extended periods of time (even if you wipe it off there’s still enough residue left to do major damage).
Besides collecting dust and dirt... as a petroleum-based product, it can potentially degrade certain plastics and vinyls over time, causing them to become porous or crack.

Petroleum based products are not good or this or tires or seats or tops either. petroleum products dry out...can cause things to Crack bad. Always buy the right products for the job you are doing. Pay in the long run. THEN NO PROBLEMS. 🙏
