This is very important to Radiation Therapy. They used this method/technique on me when I was 12. It was successful in stinting the growth of a tumor in my sinus Cavity. My Specialist Dr cut a small opening around my check and eye and put metal Beads to redirect the radiation directly to my Tumor. Grateful for the technology and those trained to use it

I'm claustrophobic & I would start hyperventilating!!! I would have to be sedated to have a mask 😷 put on!!!

Having had this type of mask to facilitate targeting for IMRT (intensity modulated radiation therapy) for head and neck cancer, first given 3 dot tattoos on chest to align and then when mask of heated fiberglass mesh first applied until it cools and hardens was a bit trying, very necessary for 6 weeks twice a day treatments and 21 years cancer free, happy and healthy, after the surgery this was a cake walk πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

Yeah no, last time someone stuck a washcloth over my eyes to calm me during a mri scan, I couldn't handle it. Totally triggering for someone whose had their mouth covered unwillingly or been held down!
