The angle the ball leaves the bat is determined by where on the bat the ball hits as well as the point in the arc of the swing. The price of the bat has nothing to do with this. The problem is the extreme range of variables. No human can hit a ball with a bat in the exact same way every time, even with a mechanical pitcher. Even though it's a machine it won't throw the ball the same every time, either. So realistically the only difference you'll see in a $40 bat vs. a $300 bat is how long they last. A $300 bat is $300 because it's more precisely made with higher quality wood. You'll break a $40 bat a lot faster than you would a $300.

Facts I hate running but played ball for 23 years. A good bat means I don't have to run. Now if it got below 45 degrees performance suffered.

Iโll take the $80
back in the 80's I would hit the yard and garage sales and buy old wood bats and use them while aluminum bats were allowed, some vibrated when they hit the long ball, so I maked them for the base hit sticks, but a few with tight growth rings felt just like the aluminum counterparts and the bat had that goodbye sound like the cover splitting snap crackle pop of childhood cereal.
I noticed the difference. they all got killed by a different bat.

I've been around baseball since my son was 5 years old through college. I helped manage several of his baseball teams through his college playing days in a Scout league. I know the sound of a baseball hitting the sweet spot, and the only one that hit it perfectly; the $80 bat! That swing was spot on!

If a kid that can't hit a home run with a $40 bat but can with the $300 bat

dude cut it so you see the 4 or 5 good hits but clipped out the 20 grounders or misses....this aint anything special....especially balls coming from a STATIONARY pitching machine that places ball in swing zone 100% of the time๐๐๐
