well that's an obvious threat. no one's in the building but her. alot of times I think we don't want to show fear. because that's easy for a man to get out and even grab her. I don't think showing fear is a good idea but a strong voice and awareness and move asap as fast as possible.

As a pm for many years I've encountered many of these moments. Especially in bldgs I knew had mental health counselors that treated rapist. Always had phone set on 911 ready to dial.
Usually your instincts are valid and it doesn't hurt anyone to catch the next elevator. Better to be cautious and safe than to be regretful and harmed or dead.
I was in an expensive hotel in downtown Chicago probably. 30 years ago. I got went to get on an elevator alone and when it opened there was just one man. I panicked but, did not get on .
