Try being taught by nuns in the 50sd
I hate the habit of Teachers giving homework. Kids are in school all day long working then they have to go home and do several more hours of schoolwork with no one to guide them. Even grown-ups get to go home and put their feet up and relax. Why can’t kids? They only get to be kids for a few short years.

I remember teachers in the 1960's being this strict. They were terrors, yet now in 2025 their lessons are still in my mind. Teachers have too many responsibilities & too little respect. Parents let their precious offspring get by with being rude, not doing homework, talking back. The problem is not teachers, but lenient parents & guardians. 'Spare the rod, spoil the child.' Put your foot down, train them in the way they should grow. Teachers can't undo the mess kids become without respect & work.
Try learning from nuns in the 60s. Fear and intimidation plus rulers and long wooden pointers for power projection.
Need more teachers like that and a few Nuns would be helpful. And throw the cell phones away. Maybe then kids would get an education.

learning is for out of the classroom. tools for learning are at school
even if someone was home to guide them it is troublesome for both. unless you and your child are 5 years apart we will never get it. I think math alone has changed so many times it's not funny. what we could do in a two step process showing the work in the 60s and 70s had turned into a twenty step process that you had to do to show your work. I couldn't even figure it out they way they had it. you could basically figure it out by looking at the problem, that was the easy part. trying to show the work in the form they wanted was time consuming and not better. I could do a whole page of math in the time it took you to show the work of 2 problems their way. now they all have tablets, but before that they allowed calculators for simple math problems to be used in school.
other countries have school all year this country is lazy

same here. I had homework from 6th grade all through HS. I graduated in 1975 and houds of homework over the weekend and at least 1-2 hours on weekdays. We started at 740 am and out at 345pm. that's how we learned. 50 min in a class and only about 35 min of actual education. School now days are a joke.

This is the way it should be teachers shouldn’t be scared of students. Parents need to give the teachers the right to scold their children. That’s why kids nowadays don’t respect they don’t have no respect for adults. They don’t call them Mr. Mrs. there’s no respect whatsoever. It’s so sad. I remember my child telling me once cause I scolded her. She was about nine and she said she will call the cops so I said before the cops come, I would whip your butt grow your butt and then I will hit the cops so they can take me in and let’s see who’s gonna take care of you then well guess what nothing ever happened I was raised to respect my oldest and my mother said no that was it children nowadays they threatened their parents by telling them they’ll call the cops by. They were running away by them not listening. I like the olden days I like when I just had to look at my child and she already knew what my eyes said and meant🙏🏼💕
