I do this every time I put gas in my car. Some of the pumps in my area don't "click" if you keep the handle pressed in. I've definitely gotten a lot of free gas over the years.
Sad but true. That is moisture that get released when the line is pressurized. Good luck getting that water out of your fuel system.

The most likely answer to what we're seeing in this video is that the person simply started gently squeezing the trigger again, which began dispensing gasoline at a very slow rate. All he did was show us his gas pump screen, which told us how much gas he had received and was being charged for up until that point, and then turned to show us his gas nozzle that was dispensing at a slow rate. If he had shown us his pump screen again after showing us the gas was still flowing, and his gallons pumped and total cost were still the exact same, then I might be inclined to believe him. But just because he shows us his pump screen and his total cost and gallons weren't increasing does not mean that his transaction is over. You're allowed to stop dispensing and then start again as many times as you'd like, without being forced to start a new transaction every time you release the trigger on the gas pump nozzle. LOL

yes its illegal. yeah you can fill your tank. as long as you are cool with getting a random mixture or additional of any and all fuels available at that pump. the system is off which means its no longer regulating ratios for what you selected.
Stay there until it stops. I let it continue for 15 seconds or so then let the handle go. It'll pop, then reset with a slow, to no drip, most times. But if it keeps dripping then keep filling. 🤷🏿♂️

Gas station down the street from my old house was like this. I’d ride my four wheeler down there and pay for a $1 in gas on pump 2 and fill the tank all the way.
