That is so bad ass but man that sucks though cause that probably put a lot of guys out of work and these machines are taking over everybody’s fucking jobs and why everybody’s having a hard time living paying their bills paying for groceries so many homeless people that’s horrible stop replacing people seriouslygonna come to an end if everybody don’t die from starvation it’s very horrible🙏🏼

I always thought they should have some kind of a net that could go around the tree when it came time to picking fruit. I guess I should have put my idea out there. So many ideas have been turned into products years later!

Curious... why are they called SOUR CHERRIES? I've eaten many varieties of cherries and they all tasted sweet when ripe.
these have been on the farms for over 30 years. I live in northern lower Michigan in Traverse City which is the Tart Cherry Capital of the world. In 1990 and 91 I worked on a Cherry Farm driving the machine that would run parallel to the Shaker machine that you saw part of during this video. and instead of running on a tart machine that was used in this video. I drove the machine that would overlap the shaker on the other side of the tree and the cherries would fall onto the pan I extended and then it would go on a conveyor belt to a tank of cold water on the back of my machine. he employed migrant workers to pick the cherries on the younger smaller trees while the bigger trees were the ones we worked on. and other Farms would have a set up like you saw on this video or they would have one like the machines I once running and that like I said was over 30 years ago.

That fruit started to rot the second it came off the stem. The orchards I have worked on we were taught if they don't have stems they have to be instantly processed and frozen or disqualified.
