Air Layering. Packing some soil, peat moss and cinnamon around a wound on a branch of a tree or woody shrub causes roots to grow. In a month or so, this farmer will harvest a section of this branch above the jar and will have the base of a new sapling. Cinnamon has antibiotic properties that prevent mold and disease in the wet rooting mixture and it encourages rooting. Most of the shrubs and trees in nurseries and commercial sellers are started this way because it is faster and more reliable than seeds.
It was my high school freshman year experiment. Within our family backyard there were four avocado tree’s. Two haas, one lonely bacon in the corner and a larger variety from Guadalajara, Mexico. So I sliced and grafted branches from the haas and Guadalajara and grafted them to the bacon in the corner using common root tone that I’d made into a paste with ground cinnamon. Over the course of a very rainy and mild winter they had taken by my sophmore year. So I didn’t stop there. Overall I grafted six different avocado types to the same trunk and they all took. Well? Shortly after my 19th Birthday and the sale of my childhood home the new owner had my successful high school experience felled and removed with the other haas.
Cool idea
When I was a kid my dad grafted a plum and a cherry tree and it grew both.
So that's how rhubarb jelly is made?
If it's 'Smuckers,' it's got to be 'crazy...'

What about those wonderful bird sounds in the background ! I wish I could hear more, it's so amazing & peaceful to be able to hear the different birds than what we are used to. & I love sitting outside listening to them, or also with the windows open when it's warm out !!
It would be nice if they explained the video

There must be a woman somewhere the bird is whistling at.
He needs to cut the feeder at more of an angle or it won’t work. 🤔
