when i was little all i wanted was a pair of skates. my parents made me wait will i was 10 years old. that Christmas, the year i turned 10, my 6 year old baby sister got skates. i was pissed then and almost 15 years later im still pissed

People disagreeing about her having.. because her attitude, but that attitude not gonna go away on its own, only gonna get worse. The best way is get her the phone and use it to earn the use of it. Control the usage and adjust with her attitude and behavior. Give something to use to take away as punished or they will find other means to obtain. My daughter been having a phone since 1st grade for access to call during emergencies. We’ve had 3 school lock downs and she msgs me from inside and keeps me updated. Her social media accts are connected to my phone so I can see who she communicates with, monitor posts and if she acts up or doesn’t do chores, it gets locked, most of time she doesn’t. My sister didn’t get two nieces any, and they do naughty things like try to steal phones, call 911 just cause, or act spiteful to my daughter for having one. She’s too mature for all that so she don’t engage them. You got to find the balance….

Not giving ur kid a mobile device in ur means past the age of 12 is no longer really protecting them but genuinely making their life harder. Mobile phones are borderline essential to survival in the real world, why not get her a phone with spyware
Well, I see there are different views on this. Maybe she’s been doing some very bad things on other people’s phones or can’t be trusted to not be on social media posting things she shouldn’t. That’s where I am with my 12 year old. He just can NOT be trusted. So he is still waiting & so are we.
