I have worked in the food industry as a maintenance technician. 6 of those years was for Seneca foods, almost none of you will have heard of this company but trust me you eat the food they produce almost every day. They private label for a massive amounts of other companies. Anyway at my location we made beer color. It’s a natural dye from beets. Our largest buyers were meat packaging companies. They color the meat, not all companies do this but it will make meat from old cows a bright red. Making it look like it is fresh. A lot of what people think that is blood in the package is actually beet juice covering up the fact that it is anything but fresh. Keep on buying that Walmart meat lol.
