wanna know abuse? I was hit with the extension chords, a bull whip, & a belt while in the tub, hit on hands & bottom of feet with rulers, switches after having to go get it yourself, belt with my brother & 2 sisters able to hit all 4 with said belt, with a frying pan, fist to mouth & stomach where couldnt breathe, waterboarding was the worst heads were put under water face up or back of head. every torture you can think of.

Spanking a young child, 1-5 on the butt, in a structured way for only the big misbehaviors... teaches them to be respectful & follow the rules once they are older, so that it is unnecessary to spank after 5yo. What I mean by structure is to inform the child of why they are in trouble. Let them know a spanking is coming. Be angry, but not mean so they know it's serious. Don't laugh or smile... Then have them wait for you to sit and prepare for the "whooping." They bend over your lap, & get 3 butt swats. They don't need to hurt, just be uncomfortable. It's the act of punishment at that age, not the punishment itself. It works just like the story of the baby elephant and the string.
