a company runs their company the way they want and what works for them. The employee applies for the job and agrees to the companies standards. Nowhere in a job application does it say, would you like to work for us and tell us what to wear and how to do our job. HE WAS DESERVING OF TERMINATION

Don’t defend him. When he was hired, he was told what clothing was required. I’m sure it’s on paper somewhere. That’s the problem. I get to do what I want, regardless. Don’t take the job if you don’t want to follow the rules.

If you agreed to the terms of employment you got a job, if you do not comply with those terms you go home or get terminated... not so difficult to comprehend.

I understand that there are roles and regulations to places and they want certain things, but what if you do not have money to purchase them? what if you need to work and get your first paycheck to get those things?

Employees hired by an employer, on ur ORIENTATION DAYS u become familiar with the EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK. LEARN IT! This book covers everything about the RULES & REGULATIONS an employee must abide by. Case in point the dress code if ur company requires it. Some companies are Family owned, while others are Franchises managed by a larger corporate company for Ex. Burger King, Wendy's, etc. These companies have a DRESS CODE. Some Managers/Superv. have been lacking to enforce policy nowadays. This Manager/Owner is letting the employee know they are dressed inappropriately. You may be sent home. For the most part, SOME of the younger generation workers were not raised properly in regards to work standards, ethics or dealing with a rude customer. Best response if u don't know how to handle this matter, "I am sorry that u r upset, please wait a moment while I get my Manager". Don't say anything negative because it may not go in ur favor. its a dress code. youre hired and told to wear black so you are paid to wear black and preform your jobs duties, dont and you'll get fired. simple. just wear black stop thinking youre special, you work at McDonald's, they dont care about your feelings.

1st there not slip resistant so yup it will stop him from doing his job. There is a uniform code for a reason. You don’t want to comply then you shouldn’t have your position there.

I want when I worked at Lauren and Taylor. I wore try to get by with a pair of sneaks sneakers. They were black and they only allow people to wear. Rockport and when I try another pair of black sneakers that looks very just like they know they pounce on me immediately and they weren’t anything with a logo on them like you know Nike just a plain pair of black sneakers with no name and they clocked me immediately and I had to I had to go buy a pair of Rockport which by the way we’re conveniently on sale at the front of the store in the shoe department.

Did the words RULE or STANDARD change? Why has it suddenly become a FREE RANGE COUNTRY? EVERYONE is entitled to do, be, dress, say, etc. anything they choose? Is this truly becoming the DDTS era? 😔

it's not a matter of the clothes stopping him from doing his job, It's a matter of discipline and respect for the rules of policy. if you can't discipline yourself enough to follow rules and regulations, then stay home.

Exactly, when you apply for a job, there is a set dress standard that is part of their policy. It's non negotiable. When you say you'll take the job, that means you will follow all rules. If you don't like their rules, don't apply for the job. Only liberals think they are entitled to a job no matter what and rules be damned.
