a company runs their company the way they want and what works for them. The employee applies for the job and agrees to the companies standards. Nowhere in a job application does it say, would you like to work for us and tell us what to wear and how to do our job. HE WAS DESERVING OF TERMINATION
most restaurants make their employees wear black no slip shoes...it's standard..
He showed up he is entitled to pay. Labor law
Don’t defend him. When he was hired, he was told what clothing was required. I’m sure it’s on paper somewhere. That’s the problem. I get to do what I want, regardless. Don’t take the job if you don’t want to follow the rules.
If you agreed to the terms of employment you got a job, if you do not comply with those terms you go home or get terminated... not so difficult to comprehend.
some people though, cant afford the black safety shoes til after the first paycheck maybe front workers 50 bucks initially? idk. but my mom couldn't afford and neither could I til I got work first..just saying. give a voucher or something
She is deranged
If he worked for an hour she has to pay him, by law!
As a manager I don’t have time to argue with you Wear what you’re supposed to for work or ill find someone who will Simple
It’s called a uniform. It’s a requirement for the job and you know this upon getting hired.
She must pay him for the hour he is at work!!
I understand that there are roles and regulations to places and they want certain things, but what if you do not have money to purchase them? what if you need to work and get your first paycheck to get those things?
It's called RULES ...
can't follow rules, gonna have a tough time in life
Employees hired by an employer, on ur ORIENTATION DAYS u become familiar with the EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK. LEARN IT! This book covers everything about the RULES & REGULATIONS an employee must abide by. Case in point the dress code if ur company requires it. Some companies are Family owned, while others are Franchises managed by a larger corporate company for Ex. Burger King, Wendy's, etc. These companies have a DRESS CODE. Some Managers/Superv. have been lacking to enforce policy nowadays. This Manager/Owner is letting the employee know they are dressed inappropriately. You may be sent home. For the most part, SOME of the younger generation workers were not raised properly in regards to work standards, ethics or dealing with a rude customer. Best response if u don't know how to handle this matter, "I am sorry that u r upset, please wait a moment while I get my Manager". Don't say anything negative because it may not go in ur favor. Continued ....
Uniforms are uniforms. Do what's asked or find a different job.
corporate cares more about the color of socks than ability
I got sent home one day by the DM because he said my pants where too tight and I was the assistant manager I was up to code he just said I was attracting to much attention…..I went home changed and came bk but I still think it was a power trip
Just play by the rules. If there's a work uniform or dress code, abide by it.
Sue her
I worked for a company that everything had to be just right or they sent you home. Worked there for 10years and loved it
Follow the gd rules. She is going to pay you and cow down to whatever you want ??
It’s called a uniform. Follow the rules.
Illegal to deny his pay after he worked
its a dress code. youre hired and told to wear black so you are paid to wear black and preform your jobs duties, dont and you'll get fired. simple. just wear black stop thinking youre special, you work at McDonald's, they dont care about your feelings.
Just wait, these liberals are going to claim the work environment is racist due to the employee not being able to wear their choice of clothing to work 🙄
Don't like the rules then find another job! More entitlement attitude!
Rules are rules. You want to work? Follow directions or try work something out befire starting until your first paycheck. 🤷🏽♂️
1st there not slip resistant so yup it will stop him from doing his job. There is a uniform code for a reason. You don’t want to comply then you shouldn’t have your position there.
It’s called “dress code”!!!!!!😲
Respect!!!!!!!!
she's right
I want when I worked at Lauren and Taylor. I wore try to get by with a pair of sneaks sneakers. They were black and they only allow people to wear. Rockport and when I try another pair of black sneakers that looks very just like they know they pounce on me immediately and they weren’t anything with a logo on them like you know Nike just a plain pair of black sneakers with no name and they clocked me immediately and I had to I had to go buy a pair of Rockport which by the way we’re conveniently on sale at the front of the store in the shoe department.
Once again the idiot youth trying to rewrite all the rules and arguing about it. very boring.
You sound entitled. Learn respect. There's requirements to any job. You own the biz, you make the rules. Put ur big boy pants on and man up🙏
You do as you're told when you're working for someone. These young people are so stupid
why trash brains can't catch up
she's doing her job👍
What part of dress code do you not understand. Has to be one of these crybabies
Typical. Go home and cry.
Did the words RULE or STANDARD change? Why has it suddenly become a FREE RANGE COUNTRY? EVERYONE is entitled to do, be, dress, say, etc. anything they choose? Is this truly becoming the DDTS era? 😔
it's not a matter of the clothes stopping him from doing his job, It's a matter of discipline and respect for the rules of policy. if you can't discipline yourself enough to follow rules and regulations, then stay home.
back i had to wear pizza h u t the 70s i wish i could have were black
Because she pays you and that is that
it's all about control..🤔🤔🤔😲😲😲
If you can’t pay attention and follow that simple rule then what other rules will you ignore? Warrants a warning first time and then firing.
only working shoes that won't slip floors while working
It is called dress code it is part of almost every job… like would you show up in sandals for construction or wear boots for an office job?
If you want the job, you do what your boss requires as long as it is not illegal.
uniform is as stated uniform, not uniform to you. younger generation think they can make million dollar companies form to there way. good for that manager, and yes shoes are diffrent. it's part of the uniform.
im a manager if you came in out of uniform than im gonna be pissed cause I than have to work a double cause I will get fired if my bosses came in and people were not in uniform he would absolutely lose it
W lady!
😂😂😂😂 soo many bullied geriatric seniors who have let every walk all over them in these comments 😂
y'all gon be sick when ww3 slides through y'all won't be getting any more money or jobs😂kaboom
Exactly, when you apply for a job, there is a set dress standard that is part of their policy. It's non negotiable. When you say you'll take the job, that means you will follow all rules. If you don't like their rules, don't apply for the job. Only liberals think they are entitled to a job no matter what and rules be damned.
its not the point slip resistant shoes black pants uniform shirt hat that's the companies policy why should she lose her job over him coming to work dressed for the streets
This guy is annoying
dress code kid do you want the job
his shoes ain't non-slip which can get the company in an extreme amount of trouble with OSHA and ect
