I spent a year 1968 in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne December 67 than the entire year of 1968. One never forgets combat. especially when you cheat death by a literal foot or 2. Chased by 60 MM mortar. Saved by Jets dropping napalm and a Cobra helicopter working out to save a company of 80 or so men against a NVA regiment! Just 1 brush with death. God bless America 🇺🇸

I operated one if those when I was in the war. Well, technically it was on a PS3 playing Battlefield 4. But, still it took me 6 times to get through that mission! I lost a lot of good men that day! . . . I don't like to talk about it . . .

I believe war is one of the most extreme experiences a human being can go through. It's terrible to have people trying to kill you and to know that a bullet or a bomb could hit you at any moment. I have immense admiration and respect for the people who have been in war. I've never been in the military, and the only time I ever fired a gun, it left me deaf for a while. How do they manage to endure that stress and anxiety in battle?
