IDK wtf that is, but in the Navy e1 is seaman e2 is second class seaman and e3 is 3rd class seaman and you basically get e2 out of boot and e3 after 6 months after you rate and pass test like me. you get e4 petty officer 3rd class, I didn't like my mos and cross rated a year later when I went for e4 ...yeah lost a stripe for some bar room brawling!😲.... Anyway I made E5 Petty Officer Second Class within four years!👍 Made port in 17 countries over 28 different ports of call throughout Asia, Indonesia, India ocean, homeport....Yokosuka, Japan. Also, did 1 deployment to the Person Gulf 1989.🤔

I was in the army back in the 1970’s. At that time a soldier wearing only a single stripe was an E-2 or a Private Second Class. Just to be sure it hasn’t changed since then I googled it and found it to be the same thing now. Private 1st Class comes with the second stripe forming rocker under the first stripe. So all you armchair soldiers really need to use google search before making comments .
E1 is Fuzzy ( no rank) E2 is just a Private E3 is Private 1st class E4 is the Mafia. and JNcO corp then its NCOs. I have seen PFCs get a bronze. I also watched a Gunny get a Bronze star. and he never even left the Wire... awards Mean Jack shit.

Always, always run requests of any kind up through the chain of Command. Never under any circumstances does a Private go directly to talk to a Colonel unless he is in the performance of his duties like an MP. You always wrote the request so everybody in the Chain sees it and places an X as recommended or not recommended and initials it and sends it on up the Chain. Only the CO has the final authority to Approve or Disapprove the Request.
