As a parent of both college graduates and a teenager, I see firsthand how limited young people’s worldviews can be. That’s why I find Charlie’s exploitation of their vulnerability so appalling. Every parent should be outraged by his actions — this is exactly how impressionable youth can be manipulated or even drawn into cult-like movements like MAGA, Heaven’s Gate, People’s Temple, Aum Shinriko, MRTC, Church of the Lamb of God, Son of Sam, Manson Family, NXIVM, Penza Recluses, etc. The majority of them use religion to lure them in!
